Are you eager to discover the secrets behind the vibrant life of Iranian's bazaars? Join this "Culinary Essential" Tour to start exploring the Tajrish Bazaar and be introduced to Iranian food culture.
This tour will start in Tajrish square before heading to the Tajrish bazaar. This covered market is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved bazaars of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

While walking, you will be able to admire its traditional architecture while observing local jobs and activities, as well as shopping for some souvenirs.
But before all this, your first stop will take place in a very intimate and traditional restaurant. There you'll have a Persian breakfast, accompanied by freshly baked bread.


Then, you'll be guided through the alleys of the market to discover an incredible variety of unique and local ingredients. Your guide explains how Iranians consume those vegetables, nuts, pickles, and teas, each time in a specific and dedicated shop.
You will have the opportunity to taste many samples all along the way, from saffron desserts to different varieties of "ash", also observing the process of making local delights and pastes.

At the end of your tour, you'll go for lunch in a restaurant. There, you'll enjoy a traditional and seasonal meal while exchanging about this experience altogether.


Brief Itinerary


The tour starts at 9:30 a.m. at Tajrish square, where you will meet your guide and the rest of the group.
You'll start with a small late breakfast in a very local and non-touristic place in the bazaar.
Then, you will visit various kinds of food shops, such as a nuts shop, vegetable shop, pickles shop, teahouse, bakery, pastry shop, to be introduced to these local and unique foods and try samples and visiting the historical places just nearby bazaar.
At the end of the tour, you'll be driven to a restaurant to enjoy a fancy seasonal lunch.
The tour ends at 2:00 p.m. at Tajrish square.
